The new milk containers (judging by the diagram) are harder to pour. The older ones tapered toward the top, whereas the new are “squared” off which will cause the “glug/splash/over-pour” effect. Air cannot get in to replace the liquid.

Turning the carton so the handle is to the side rather then above will prevent splashing.

Sorry – years of refuelling tractors from 25litre drums. (That was harder – the handle had to be toward the bottom).

How can people make such a fuss over a new type of carton? It’s the same basic principle on how to pour it, you just need to be careful!
