I know I’ve been dithering over who to vote for in my local constituency. Looking over the different policy documents I was leaning towards Labour, and after all the Bertie scandals recently I certainly won’t be voting Fianna Fáil.
Thanks to Embarr over at TÃr na nÓg who pointed me today to the Pick Your Party website, where you answer a bunch of questions on major policy items and they show you how the respective parties differ from your opinions.
I’m quite liberal on most issues, including abortion and homosexuality yet quite borderline on taxes and economic vs environmental growth. I was surprised to see how the different parties actually lined up against my views, but wasn’t really surprised when the site declared me a Labour voter…
I was surprised to find myself marked as a Labour man by that site. It’s probably as good a way as any to figure out who to vote for…

First election in my life when I’ve been quite stumped as to who to vote for… the policies are all quite close.
Labour does seem to be the most aligned with my policies, so I guess that’s the way I’m going!
