It’s been another week since I last posted, this is not going as well as I thought!
Things have just really ramped up in the last week and I don’t think that it’s going to get much better throughout July. Quite a few things on over the next weeks, including the visit of Anne and Thibaud (over from France), the visit of Brian and Claire (over from America) and also the wedding of my cousin down near Sligo.
I need to get organised over this stuff and get a grip on what is happening each day. Him indoors just worked out that we’re not going to have a weekend off for 4 weeks in a row, so I’m going to be exhausted by August.
Anne and Thibaud will be here for 12 days, but I’ll only be able to take 3 or 4 days off during that time. I ws hoping that they could have spent some time with my Mum in Northern Ireland, but with Brian and Claire’s visit clashing, that’s no longer possible. Hopefully Anne might feel like driving over here, if that’s the case then maybe I can put her onto my car insurance and they could get a little further afield.
Around Dublin there is a good bit of stuff to do, from the Guinness Brewery tour, to the Viking Tour and the traditional taking of the DART from Howth to Greystones. Most obviously then a visitor should not miss Trinity College or the Book of Kells!
As for Brian and Claire, they are planning on taking in Northern Ireland and Donegal this time around, so Mum will be doing most of the tour guide stuff there. More details can be found on my website.
More on this one later….
